Meteo Data Transfer System

Brief description	The system is aimed at providing of transfer of meteorological data and other useful data from meteorological stations to the regional meteorological center, and also transfer of useful information from the meteorological center to stations using GPRS-Internet connections. The system consists of PCs and receive/tansmit devices (cellular modems), located in the meteorological center and on meteorological stations. The external FTP-server is used as a link between meteorological stations and the centre. The system is operated by program under working title Meteo Crimea v. XX. In operating mode The Meteorological Station # хх program requires every 5 minutes the FTP-server for operation information from the centre, and, if any, reads it, storages it on hard disk and displays it on computer monitor. The Meteocenter program requests the FTP-server every 3 minutes. If there are any meteorological data from the station available, the reading of it starts.
